My interest in Jmol is primarily in teaching biochemistry. Since 2001 every student taking the one-year biochemistry class at California State University, Long Beach, has learned to use Jmol (originally Rasmol) to visualize protein structures. I wrote and continue to update a manual for this purpose, "Studying Proteins and Nucleic Acids with Jmol," which is available as part of the Launchpad for both the Lehninger and Stryer biochemistry texts. Online access to the book is also available for purchase from W. H. Freeman.
